Makerspaces in the Classroom
In this conversation, we will analyze what and how to create a makerspace in a classroom and its benefits to learning. Despite the many buzz words for a makerspace (hackerspace, fablab, tinkerlab), makerspaces can allow students a place to "make" and get hands on. We will discuss the roots and philosophy behind makerspaces.
Conversational Practice
I will have many kits and props that can be found in makerspaces including a 3d printer, some small robots, video game maker kits, maker kits in order for the audience to ask questions of the many different aspects and tools of a makerspace.
